ABOUT THE DESIGN MUSEUM
Set in the magical gardens of Holland Park, the recently refurbished Design Museum is the voice of leading modern design and innovation. Founded by Sir Terence Conran in 1989, the museum relocated to West London and opened in 2016 after an £83 million renovation to provide one of the most complex and inspirational spaces in the city. While offering insights into the worlds of fashion, architecture, furniture, graphic, product, transport and digital design, the museum’s architecture is just as interesting as its exhibitions. Dedicated gallery spaces and an auditorium are centred around an impressive atrium overlooked by balconies and striking linear staircases. Alongside its cutting-edge programme of temporary displays, the museum hosts educational talks throughout the year, proving itself to be an ideal location for conferences and awards ceremonies.

Lighting & Technical Solutions From deep, vibrant tones for an evening affair to bright airy palettes for daytime events, we can help emphasise the impressive architecture of the building, drawing attention up to the ceiling and across the different levels with jaw-dropping results. Our production experts can enhance your event even further by projecting videos onto the Design Museum’s striking architectural features or by introducing live performances from DJs and musicians into the mezzanine area for optimum impact.
Furniture & Scenic Construction Our team can construct customised staging to echo the innovation of the space or provide sleek sofas and chairs to form intimate areas for networking. THE ATRIUM
The centerpiece to the Design Museum is an impressive triple-height space.
The oak and marble-lined walls and staircases direct attention to the copper-covered roof creating a striking setting for evening drinks receptions, awards ceremonies and dinners. The space can be used for relaxed breakfast events before public opening hours with the added benefit of private tours. Our production team can help integrate the mezzanine and first floor balcony into the experience to provide guests with spectacular views of the space or introduce live performances to add a touch of glamour for awards shows.
The Atrium accommodates up to 800 guests.

THE HELENE AND JOHANNES HUTH GALLERY
Located on the second floor adjacent to the Design Museum’s permanent exhibition, the Helene and Johannes Huth Gallery is filled with natural daylight from its floor-to-ceiling windows, offering clear views across Holland Park. From day to evening, this blank canvas will provide you with unlimited options for conferences, product launches, receptions and awards dinners. A retractable wall system, coupled with our bespoke production elements, allows the room to be divided into smaller sections for both larger and more intimate events.
The Helene and Johannes Huth Gallery accommodates up to 220 guests.

THE BAKALA AUDITORIUM
This contemporary theatre-style space is ideal for conferences, panel discussions, film screenings, lectures and award ceremonies. Working with the auditorium’s state-of-the-art AV facilities our production team can provide innovative solutions such as global video conferencing. The space can also be combined with the Helene and Johannes Huth Gallery for a daytime breakout space for longer events.
The Bakala Auditorium accommodates up to 202 guests.
